I have never been a huge fan of group-administered tests in the past. When people take tests together it is very common for people to finish at different times. When people finish at different times then it can be pretty distracting. I remember thinking “oh goodness, how are they done already?” or “why it is taking me so long to read through all of these questions?” I think that it is very hard for those still taking the exam and they are getting in their head about it and losing focus on the actual exam. Especially considering that this test is being conducted for a hiring process. People might lose confidence in themselves and give up because they might think that the person who finished fast is more qualified than them. If there had to be a test administered for the hiring process, then I would prefer it to be an individualized test.
